Your health is important to us here at Longview, which is why there is an array of activities and programs that have been implemented to keep you active and healthy.
Participate in daily exercise classes, stop by the fitness center or take advantage of the heated indoor pool. There is also a registered dietician on staff that can help you design a meal plan to fit your wants and needs. And enjoy the seasonal, healthy ingredients the dining staff uses to keep the menu fresh and delicious.
There are also activities that keep your mind healthy, too! Participate in the Stay Sharp, Be Sharp series with Ithaca College on site, participate in daily games and activities that challenge your mind or take a class at Ithaca College’s campus.
Why it’s important to stay active as you age?
According to a study published by the Journal of Health and Social Behavior, older adults who had high or medium levels of engagement that increased over time developed cognitive and physical limitations more slowly than did those with low levels of engagement that decreased over time.
This is why we encourage residents to both socialize and push themselves physically. So take a class at Ithaca College, or participate in our aqua aerobics class. Try something new at Longview!
