Registered Nurse (RN) Manager (1st shift.)
Responsible for managing the residents’ individual service plans. Supervise the day-to-day nursing and resident aide/HHA activities, in accordance with New York State DOH regulations and Longview’s Policies and Procedures. Assess and monitor residents’ care. Conduct admissions assessments and quality assurance audits.
Scheduler / Unit Clerk
Responsible for creating and maintaining the work schedule for direct care staff (resident aides, CNAs, and HHAs) for all three shifts to cover the 4th floor and Garden level. Monitor and record absences, shift exchanges between direct care staff, implement mandating policy when necessary. Work closely with the human resources coordinator to ensure accurate record keeping and hiring needs. Adheres to Ithacare’s risk management practices.
Performs a wide variety of clerical duties including organizing filing systems and ensures accurate maintenance of resident chart documents. Responsible for managing storage of records and forms, in accordance with NYS DOH record retention requirements. Assembles marketing, emergency packets, organizes and maintains general filing systems. Transcribes physician’s orders to MARs/TARs and responsible for scheduling appointments with outside providers.
Resident Aides (RA), Certified Nurse Aides (CNA), and Certified Home Health Aides (HHA) available for 2nd and 3rd shifts only
Under the supervision of the Nursing Team Leader, the position requires the assisting of residents in activities of daily living. Must successfully complete medication assistance training and post-test to become certified to assist residents with medications. Must complete prescribed Red Cross First Aid/AED training and blood-borne pathogen training within three months of hire. Must be professional, personable and have excellent hygiene. The Resident Aide does not have supervisory responsibilities and adheres to Ithacare’s risk management practices.
LPN available for 2nd and 3rd shifts only
Responsibilities include assisting in training and monitoring of medication assistance. Monitor and assist residents with medications. Alert physicians, families and resident care staff with timely notifications regarding changes in condition. Monitor and follow-up with all resident care issues while maintaining clinical quality assurance in accordance with New York State regulations and adherence to Ithacare’s risk management practices.
